We asked some of the beautiful and loving animals at the Humane Society of Skagit Valley what they would like for Christmas this year. Here is what they told us... |
Jade says she would like people to eat at Applebee's during their Dines to Donate program in Burlington on December 29 and December 30 from 11:00 a.m. through midnight. Jade says Applebee's is going to donate 15% of the net proceeds to the Shelter. Applebee's address is 188 Cascade Mall Drive in Burlington and their phone number is 360-757-1414.

Bucksbee says he is particularly fond of the 81" x 81" Biker Quilt below. He would like people to purchase raffle tickets at $1.00 apiece for family and friends. The drawing will be on May 1, 2010 at 6:00 p.m., notes Bucksbee. He wants people to know they can buy raffle tickets at the Humane Society or Humane Society Thrift Shop, or call Ellie Wright at 360-293-1951 or 360-610-0261.
He also would like people to know the Biker Quilt will be on display during the month of December at The Quilt Shop located at 820 Commercial Ave., Anacortes. Their phone number is 360-293-2146 and their hours are Monday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Marbles would love for people to shop, dine and stay in La Conner on Sunday, December 6. La Conner is celebrating the "Season of Giving," and on December 6, 10% of sales at participating merchants come to the Shelter. Marbles says for those of you who would like to know ahead of time the merchants who are participating in this event, you can call the Chamber at 360-466-4778 or stop by the Chamber of Commerce office at 606 Morris Street or Wyman Park at 101 S. First Street in La Conner. |
Gracie says visit the Donate page on the Humane Society website for ideas for gifts such as buying bricks, donating Kuranda beds (who doesn't need a nice place to sleep and rest?), and sponsoring pets in the Skagit Valley Herald.
Gracie says everyone finds her simply adorable and she is not shy in case anyone wants to sponsor her.
