The Cleveland Museum of Art's Atrium Opening Celebration
The atrium, a grand open piazza at the core of the museum complex, will officially
open on Sunday, October 28
with a community celebration. The museum will offer a variety of free activities
to celebrate the opening including special musical performances, family-friendly
art making, and presentations by local cultural groups.

Find the Scarecrows in the Circle This Fall
The scarecrows have returned to University Circle! During the month of October,
UCI invites you and your family to go on a scavenger hunt around University Circle.
Simply find 10 scarecrows, write down their locations, and email the list to
comments@universitycircle.org
to win a prize. The scavenger hunt will run until Wednesday, October 31.

Building with nature: A symposium to explore the frontiers of green building, biomimicry, and architecture
The Cleveland Museum of Natural History is planning to redevelop its campus in University Circle. One of the goals
is to create a building that embodies the Museum's mission of inspiring a passion for nature, protecting natural
diversity, fostering health, and providing leadership to a sustainable future. To explore the latest thinking,
the Museum is hosting a public symposium about the integration of buildings and nature on

Cleveland Public Library's Octavofest: Little Free Libraries
As part of Octavofest, Cleveland Public Library and the Ohio Center for the Book,
developed "Little Free Libraries" for the entire community to get involved in the
annual celebration of books and paper arts. The Little Free Libraries help build
community through the sharing of books and reading. People can take out free books
from the Little Free Libraries and are encouraged to leave behind a book of their
own. One of these libraries can be found at the University Circle Visitor Center,
located at
11330 Euclid Avenue.

Save-the-Dates: The Rink at Wade Oval and Holiday CircleFest
Winter is coming to University Circle, and so are two popular events - The Rink
at Wade Oval and Holiday CircleFest. The Rink will be open
Friday, November 23
- Monday, February 18, 2013.
UCI is excited to announce that this season, the surface of The Rink will be
real ice! Following the opening of The Rink is Holiday CircleFest on
Sunday, December 2.
University Circle's museums and institutions will be open free of charge, with fun
