CDO Welcomes Calvin Terrell
"Relationships"
On Monday, April 23rd, 2012 at 6:00pm come to the CDO High School Fine Arts Auditorium to hear expert Calvin Terrell speak about "Relationships." This free event provides tools to help you feel more comfortable, confident and connected.
Calvin Terrell is the founder and lead facilitator of Social Centric; an organization he designed to provide education and training for all ages to enhance human interactions and global progress. For the past eighteen years, Calvin has lectured, trained and lead comprehensive workshops for valuing diversity, equity and justice building in schools, corporations and civic organizations for thousands of adults, children and youth throughout the United States.
All IRHS parents and students are invited to this inspiring evening, which is sponsored by the Canyon del Oro Parent Organization in partnership with the Oro Valley Police Department School Resource Unit. However, due to the content of the presentation no person under the age of 13 will be admitted. (Click for more information.)

- Secretary - records minutes at each board meeting and posts communications on our IRHS webpage
- Senior Class Representative - updates NPO on important activities within IRHS community
- Hospitality Coordinator - oversees the quarterly teacher/staff breakfasts or luncheons
- Volunteer Coordinator - recruits volunteers for school registration & any other volunteer needs throughout the year

IRHS INFORMATION
FRESHMEN & SOPHOMORES: The Governor's Youth Commission* is currently accepting applications from bright, energetic students who want to sharpen their leadership skills and make a difference for Arizona. Joining the GYC is very competitive--it involves the submission of an application and, if selected, an interview at the State Capitol. Deadline is Friday May 4th at 3:00 PM. Application and additional info at www.youthservingarizona.org. Also, contact your counselor if you are interested.
*The GYC is a diverse and representative body of Arizona's high school population and is composed of members throughout the state. Each year Youth Commissioners work to promote healthier communities through volunteerism and service learning, while increasing awareness of community issues affecting youth.
SENIORS: Contribute 4 pictures spanning your K-12 years to the Senior Slide Show. Email to japutnam2@yahoo.com or drop off at the yearbook room, A109. Make sure everyone in the pictures is named! Deadline is April 25th.
