God has given each of us talents and our responsibility is to use the ones He has given us productively. If we fail to fulfill this responsibility the talents we have been given will no longer exist. When I was young my father taught me an important lesson, a lesson that enabled me to develop the talents God gave me. This lesson inspired a prayer that changed my life. "Dear Father, help me do the best I can, with what I have, where I am , at all times". By doing our best, we increase our ability to do better that which we have done before. I believe our talents were given to us so that we could fulfill our purpose in life. As an officer in The Salvation Army, you and I have committed our lives to the same purpose. During my active service in behalf of The Salvation Army, I was considered the only officer out of uniform...I was an Honorary Colonel. Read more of Jack's article...
