On the move...

On The Move

Salvationists are familiar with is change.  Army officers expect to move on average every 3-4 years.  This means change not only for the officer and family, but for the corps family as well. Given this historical perspective, you might think that people in The Salvation Army would be experts when it comes to change. This is not always the case.
The change tips shown here are offered as helpful advice for those who are On The Move and those who receive them.

Brokenness
Major Clarence Bradbury
 Major Bradbury
I'm an ocean person.  I love to watch waves break.
You can tell when a big one is coming.  The preliminary swell looms larger than others.  Surfers rush to catch the promising ride.  White caps atop the ridge are carried forward by the breeze.  At its crest the wave is magnificent, awesome.  Its furious crash propels it to shore, slamming everything in its path.  Breakers are nature's tool for shaping shorelines.  Bays and beaches, coves and sand bars owe their contours to the relentless pounding.  Major Bradbury SLD Celebrates

Training Opportunities To Consider

Once again we have followed-up this year's regional training with a workshop focused on "Leading Through Change and Conflict".  This workshop would be ideal for those who are experiencing change.

A new "Principles and Qualities..." training facilitated by Pamela Bosworth has been receiving quite positive evaluations.  It is ideal for leaders on the front lines or key individuals who play a major role in translating goals into reality.

Major Clarence Bradbury was recently certified in facilitating the Kolbe Index -  a new and unique assessment that is valuable in all settings, for hiring, building teams.  This assessment tool pairs well with the TEAM workshop which was rolled out after the 2009 regional training.
