Projects for New Book
Here is a sneak peek at our newest book!
Everything is really coming together for our new book, set for release in July 2009. Thanks to the many readers who submitted questions and ideas for the new book. Some of the suggestions and questions were for things that I have already covered in my previous books and I responded to those questions directly. Some people submitted requests for topics that will be covered in this new book.
Here is a list of items and projects that will be covered in this new book. This list is not all inclusive. I will be releasing more information next month.
- QuickFont Wizard will be covered in detail. This is an exciting feature of 4D Embroidery and many readers have asked for help with this feature. This will take a full chapter.
- Creating frames for your projects using
- Machine Stitches
- Pieces of already complete designs
- New designs created in 4D Stitch Editor
Making and using a tracing plate for your tablet
As you can see, I will be covering some non-software topics, such as creating a tracing plate for your tablet, that we will use later on another project in this book.
I'm very excited about this book. It is one that I have wanted to write for some time and I hope that you are looking forward to seeing it.

This month I present a PowerPoint presentation on how to purchase and download designs from the MyEmbroideries.com web site maintained by Husqvarna Viking.
I tried to be as brief as possible in this presentation to keep the size down. However, it ended up being 8.8 MB in size. Therefore, you should only view this presentation if you have a broadband connection to the internet. Free Downloads
All of our 3D books contained a chapter on computer skills. After writing our first 4D book, I decided to eliminate that material from all future books and make it available to everyone as a free download on my web site. Recently, I redesigned my web page and the old address shown in my earlier books as the location for these files changed. I corrected that reference on the new web site and created a new location for these files.

All of the our books that cover the 4D Embroidery software system sold exclusively through authorized Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff dealers in the United States and Canada. However, if you are located outside of the united States and Canada, I am authorized to sell these books directly to the consumer.
Because our books that cover the 3D software are no longer carried by Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff dealers, then I am allowed to sell copies of these books directly to the consumer. I have a limited number of Essentials of 3D Embroidery Studio, and Basic Digitizing. Some local dealers may also have copies of these books still in stock. I strongly recommend that you support your local dealers by purchasing these books from them whenever possible.
