Terrific Thursdays?
If you haven't experienced Terrific Thursdays in Decatur, it is time to begin!
Every Thursday evening in November and December (before Christmas, but not Thanksgiving or Christmas eve), many Decatur merchants stay open late and offer special discounts and refreshments.
Mingei will be offering 10% off each Thursday.
Each Friday, we'll bring out something new from our back room of treasures. Keep stopping by so you don't miss anything! We've been hoarding goodies all year-- Kashmiri paper mache boxes from India, batiked silk scarves from Thailand, folk board games from India, reader carvings from La Union, puppets from Burma and India, bobble headed toys, new jewelry and ornaments galore! A little will debut each Friday. Come see!

Scratch and Dent!
 A giraffe loses an ear, a mermaid chips her tail, a stone comes off a necklace... but we are softies and the craftsmanship is so wonderful, we can't throw these wounded pieces away! Sooo-- this Friday, we are having our first scratch and dent sale here at Mingei. Some broken pieces have been repaired; others are in their original shards waiting for TLC. Are you crafty? There could be some terrific holiday gift ideas in these parts and pieces! Come clean up bit by broken bit! When they are gone, they are gone!
