People come in off the street on a regular basis to get a closer look at these beautiful, unique pieces, hand-wrought of iron in the Gujarat region of India, and repainted for the holiday of Dewali, the Indian Festival of LIghts, celebrated in autumn.
Each of the iron cups here is filled with oil and a cotton wick, and lit to invite Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth and good fortune into the home.
