Urban Arts Outdoors in the Columbus Commons
|  Wednesday, June 1st 10:30am to 2pm We are excited to work in partnership with the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and launch the Urban Arts Outdoors - an open air gallery on the grounds of the new Columbus Commons park. We'll have student and alumni artwork on display and for sale at our booths.

Digital Video Workshop: Introduction
|  Saturday, June 4th 11am to 2pm Join us each Saturday this June to learn about digital video recording. At this workshop, participants will be introduced to basic film terms, learn how to use recording equipment and get an overview of resources for filmmaking in the Columbus community and beyond.

Cameras and materials will be provided; however, participants are welcome to bring their own equipment if preferred.Space and equipment is limited. Interact with the research projects of this year's graduating class of seniors in The Ohio State University Department of Design. Free and open to all. Light refreshments will be provided. Thursday, June 9th, 12 to 1pm Short Film Forum Looking for a new way to escape on your lunch hour? Join us each month to discuss the wonderful world of short films. Films will be 30 minutes or less in length, and an informal discussion will follow. Free and open to all.
Thursday, June 9th, 7 to 8pm Marotta Hour: Bill Orcutt Legendary guitarist Bill Orcutt will be making a rare stop in Central Ohio for this month's Marotta Hour. Marotta Hour is an electro-acoustic music series featuring unexpected sounds from free jazz to electronic to free-form improvisation. Free and open to all. Donations accepted.

The Art in the House exhibition displays an eclectic array of artwork produced by children participating in the Greater Columbus Arts Council's Art in the House program. Using the Frank Museum of Otterbein College's Ceremonial Objects & West African Artifacts exhibition as a point of inspiration, the young artists worked with the support of four master teaching artists to create works of art that are directly influenced by cultural objects from around the world.

The Ohio State University's Department of Art Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Projects Exhibition presents the work of graduating art majors working in a wide range of media and approaches. The projects reveal ambitious bodies of work developed during their course of study in areas such as art and technology, ceramics, glass, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture. This exhibition is sponsored by the Department of Art and the College of Arts and Sciences.

City Center Gallery Call for entries from independent Columbus artists:

City Center Gallery at the OSU Urban Arts Space is an opportunity for local emerging artists to display their art and launch their careers. One proposal per month will be given a grant of up to $500 and use of the corridor space at the entrance of the OSU Urban Arts Space.
By providing an exhibition space and funding, City Center hopes to foster the development of the independent, creative and innovative community in Columbus, Ohio.
