The OSU Urban Arts Space and the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation partner to offer tours of the Lazarus Building rooftop gardens the first Tuesday of the month. The tour begins at the OSU Urban Arts Space, where guests will get an inside look at the current exhibitions and learn about the many green aspects of the organization. The tour concludes with a trip up to the beautiful green roof with Lazarus Building Manager Robert Turrin.  

Hannah Stephenson will lead Columbus arts and culture bloggers in conversation about process, inspiration and social media. If you are interested in blogging, art or creativity, this event is for you. If you know nothing about blogging, but like art and creativity, this event is for you, too!

Paging Columbus! is a literary arts-themed event series with a local focus. Taking place on the first Thursday evening of every month (from 6 to 8pm), events will feature readings and panel discussions, as well as networking events to strengthen our already flourishing community of writers, readers and artists. Free and open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.

Celebrate the exhibition with the artists and curator during what is considered our largest reception of the year. Come and experience the diverse and dynamic work of this year's Master of Fine Arts candidates in OSU's Department of Art!

This public reception is free and open to all and will include special performances by select artists. Light refreshments and drinks will be provided.

Learn to make your very own matchbox pinhole camera! Led by artist and OSU Urban Arts Space student assistant Jeremy Stone, you will learn, step-by-step, how to turn an old matchbox into a working reusable camera. The Art in the House exhibition displays an eclectic array of artwork produced by children participating in the Greater Columbus Arts Council's Art in the House program. Using the Frank Museum of Otterbein College's Ceremonial Objects & West African Artifacts exhibition as a point of inspiration, the young artists worked with the support of four master teaching artists to create works of art that are directly influenced by cultural objects from around the world.

Reception: Saturday, May 7th, 6 to 8pm 

This annual exhibition is an opportunity to sample an array of current directions in contemporary art, fresh from the studios of practicing professional artists who are completing MFA degrees in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University.

Participating artists work in painting and drawing, performance, sculpture, photography, ceramics, printmaking, art and technology, video, sound and varied combinations of these media.

The Ohio State University's Department of Art Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Projects Exhibition presents the work of graduating art majors working in a wide range of media and approaches. The projects reveal ambitious bodies of work developed during their course of study in areas such as art and technology, ceramics, glass, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking and sculpture.

This exhibition is sponsored by the Department of Art and the College of Arts and Sciences.

 
Every year the Department of Design hosts an exhibition featuring the senior theses of the undergraduates from each of the three programs: Industrial Design, Interior Design and Visual Communication Design. This exhibition is the culmination of the students' design experience at The Ohio State University.
