What got you into anime? Come to our discussion about gateway anime, the anime that got us into anime! We'll talk about popular shows of different generations and why we think those shows are ideal for people new to anime. Audience discussion is heavily encouraged!

Monthly Anime Adventure is a series of talks, discussions and multimedia events all centered on Japanese animation. The meetings will be as entertaining as they are informative! This program is produced by the staff of Anime Punch, an annual anime convention hosted in Columbus dedicated to a "college level" exploration of Japanese animation.

OSU Art Education student Stephanie Proffitt will lead this edition of

Art Explorations, during which youth and families can create an eggshell mosaic keepsake box. Participants will have fun crunching eggshells, creating textures and constructing their own personalized keepsake to take home.

Be the first to see the rooftop garden this year during a sneak-peek tour in honor of Earth Week! The tour begins at the OSU Urban Arts Space where guests will get an inside look at the current exhibitions and learn about the many green aspects of the organization. Join us for a screening of the award-winning documentary Dirt!, directors Bill Benenson and Gene Rosow examine how our treatment of dirt can be directly linked to floods, drought, climate change and war. For a movie that is self-proclaimed "simply about dirt", it is guaranteed to change the way you look at the roots of our world. Free and open to all.

The Art in the House exhibition displays an eclectic array of artwork produced by children participating in the Greater Columbus Arts Council's Art in the House program. Using the Frank Museum of Otterbein College's Ceremonial Objects & West African Artifacts exhibition as a point of inspiration, the young artists worked with the support of four master teaching artists to create works of art that are directly influenced by cultural objects from around the world.

Reception: Saturday, May 7th, 6 to 8pm 

This annual exhibition is an opportunity to sample an array of current directions in contemporary art, fresh from the studios of practicing professional artists who are completing MFA degrees in the Department of Art at The Ohio State University.

Participating artists work in painting and drawing, performance, sculpture, photography, ceramics, printmaking, video, sound, new media, and varied combination of these media.

The Department of Art Bachelor of Fine Arts Senior Projects Exhibition presents the work of graduating art majors working in a wide range of media and approaches. The projects reveal ambitious bodies of work developed during their course of study in areas such as art and technology, ceramics, glass, painting and drawing, photography, printmaking, and sculpture.

This exhibition is sponsored by the Department of Art and the College of Arts and Sciences.
