Machinal Preview with director, Lesley Ferris
Weekday Brown Bag

MachinalTuesday, February 17th
noon - 1pm

Join us during the lunch hour for a preview of the OSU Theatre Department's winter performance of Machinal, written by female playwright Sophie Treadwell. The play opened on Broadway in 1928 and is inspired by the true story of convicted and executed murderess Ruth Snyder. It is truly a tale of the human condition. The conversation will be led by OSU Theatre Professor and Machinal director, Lesley Ferris.

This preview is part of our weekday programming offered throughout the month. Locally hand-roasted coffee is generously provided by Cafe Brioso. Bring your lunch and enjoy.

The Marotta Hour: KBD Sonic Cooperative
Thursday Evening Concert

Thursday, February 19th
6:30pm - 8pm

"What strikes me about the KBD Sonic Cooperative, both in performance and on recording, is how deftly and easily they subvert many of the supposed factions within improvised music today; the flavors and nuances of the jazz tradition, 20th Century classical compositions, past and current electroacoustic music, as well as noise, all permeate, in one way or another, the collective sound of this group."
-Toledo Bellows

This series is part of our after-work programing offered Thursday evenings. Before the show stop by Tip Top Kitchen & Cocktails and ask for the Urban Artists' Special: It's very special indeed and its only $3.

This exhibition gives students an opportunity to experience the jurying process and the hanging and promoting of a professional show. Work in both performative and visual forms illustrates the diversity of skills and creativity among Arts Scholars. Jurors hail from the university community as well as the greater Columbus community. This show has traveled, over the past four years, from campus to the Short North to downtown.
