STATE CUP KICKS-OFF MARCH 27-28

 2010 Florida State Cup
With over 500 teams participating and matches scheduled from Pensacola to Miami, Florida Rush will have (5) girls teams and (8) boys teams competing this weekend in the 1st Round of the 2010 Florida State Cup.
Girls Ages: 14, 15, 16, 17 & 18
Boys Ages: 13, 14, 15, 16(2), 17(2) & 18
We've been working very hard to prepare our teams and we're ready to bring home some more Championship titles this year.

U16 Nike - Coach Marcos Machado U17 Nike - Coach Sean Murphy
MAR 15, 2010 - Florida Rush U16B / U17B / U18B Nike teams competed at the US Club Soccer "2010 Florida Cup" recently in Lake Mary, Florida. All three teams finished in 1st place after group play and advanced to the final championship games. With only one loss all weekend, Rush teams scored 34 goals, while only allowing 5 goals against. OUTSTANDING RESULTS!
U16 Nike - CHAMPION (4-0-0)
U17 Nike - CHAMPION (3-0-1)
U18 Nike - FINALIST (2-1-1)

FEDERICO BERTELE (U17 NIKE) TAKES POY HONOR

 Player of Year Honors
MAR 17, 2010 - Federico Bertele, who recorded eight shutouts this season with his Sebreeze High School soccer team, was born in Italy and has dreams of playing for the Italian national team. Helping the Seabreeze Sandcrabs reach the playoffs every year, Bertele is the first-ever goalie to be named the News-Journal's Boys Soccer Player of the Year. Congratulations Federico!

Academically Jon Risovas is the best senior student at Olympia High
School with a GPA of 5.37, as a result he received the Varsity Scholar
Athlete trophy; as bass player at Olympia Chamber Orchestra, he was rated as "Superior" at the Music Performance Assessment by
Florida Orchestra Association and lastly he is celebrating the District
HS Soccer Champions title, with his Varsity team . WOW what a great year!
"We as parents always believe that, the students which
spend so many hours in intellectual work, need to balance with organized
physical activities, natural open space and competitive team work" says his father Jorge Risavos,
"which only sports like soccer could offer for a complete integrated
social, physical and academic development."

DANIEL HADDAD - IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

MAR 19, 2010 - Daniel Haddad was recently involved in a terrible accident when he was stuck by a vehicle while crossing the street. Although he is still in intensive care, Daniel's recovery is incredible and today he was able to sit up to eat some solid food with juice.
THANK YOU Rush families for all your warm wishes and support for Daniel. Please keep him in your thoughts and let's all pray for a speedy recovery.
