U18 Women's US National Camp
|
 Alex Crown Invited to US National Camp
Florida Rush Alum Alex Crown was invited to the U18 Women's National Camp January 10-17 at the Home Depot Center in California. Alex has been invited to National Camp several times since age U14. She spent this past fall playing for the Florida State Seminoles and helped the Noles win a share of the ACC regular season championship. Alex took a few minutes to talk about her time with the Florida Rush.

Soccer Players and Referee
The
Rudy Spueller & Phillip Reno Scholarship is offered to graduating high
school seniors who have played in and/or refereed for GCFYSL affiliated clubs
for at least three years (six seasons). Submission of scholarship applications
will be taken in February 1st through March 15th, 2010. Final application
submission date is Monday, March 15, 2010.

Disney All-Star Team Heading to Chelsea Academy

 CJ Williams Selected at Disney Showcase
Congratulations Chris Williams (U17 Nike) for being selected to the 2010 Disney's Soccer Showcase U17 Boys All-Star Team!
Eighteen players from all over the country were identified to the All-Star team, which will represent the United States against top international youth teams in Europe next summer. Adidas is sponsoring the trip to England in August, where players will experience a week of training / games at the famed Chelsea Academy in London.

 Taylor Hurst - Best GK in Central Florida
Jan 14, 2010 - Varsity Sports newly debuted segment called "Super 6" names Taylor Hurst (U18G Nike) as the best girls high school soccer goalie in Central Florida. Also named to the Super 6 goalies were Shelby Kesic (U17G Nike), Megan Lynch (U18G Nike),Tori Brown (U18G Swoosh) and Shannon Taylor (U16 Nike).
Florida Rush is proud to have (5) goalies representing their high schools as the "Best in Central Florida".
Congrats to all the girls and our GK Trainer Marcos Machado!

USSSA Southeast Regional Champions

 U12B Florida Rush Nike
Jan 18, 2009 - Florida Rush U12 Nike team coached by Wilson Rendon were crowned Champions at the USSSA Southeast Regional Championship in Ocala, Florida. Sat, the boys won their first game of the tournament against the Gainesville Attack 6-0 and tied their second game against the Ocala Arsenal 4-4. On Sun morning, they played East Pasco and won 2-1 and in the afternoon played LEG A-Z in the championship game, which they won 3-0.

Jan 20, 2010 - Florida Rush U13 Nike girls were 2-1 in group play. Facing the Drama Queens from Titusville in the finals, our girls came out on top with a 3-2 victory. Maddy Skretteberg scored 2 and Linsay Pinder scored the game winner with 4 minutes left in the game. "The girls played great this weekend and really came together as a team" stated Coach Leon Florez.
