Florida Rush Connections
Where the Trails of Passion and Purpose Meet...
Greetings!

All of our wheels are now in motion for teams as we transition into our 2nd season as the Florida Rush. Players, parents and coaches together are adjusting comfortably into their new routines and looking forward to another exciting season of soccer.

In the fall of 2009, Florida Rush has boys and girls teams competing throughout the Southeast United States in the Region III Premier League, throughout our state in the Florida State League, locally in the Greater Central Florida League and in-house with our U5-9 Micro Program.

Although last season we enjoyed a lot of success on the pitch, our journey as a club has only just begun. In addition to our continued commitment to player development, staffed with dedicated team of coaches and volunteers, moving forward we are very focused on improving the level of service we offer our members including club communication, fund-raising, and volunteering opportunities.

KEY VOLUNTEERS "MAKE THINGS HAPPEN"
USYS It's difficult to apply the 80/20 rule to youth soccer because volunteer work is spread across so many people.  While the effort of paid staff is crucial to success, the organization would be at a standstill without the momentum of volunteers.  The Florida Rush is privileged to have two gifted key volunteers with enormous capacity for getting things done.

Borde scored three goals in two games last week, including two goals in HU's first win of the season at Mount St. Mary's. He added one goal, the game-winner, and two assists against Marist to finish the week with eight points.

OUR GOAL IS WORLD CUP IN ORLANDO!
world cup orlandoSHOW YOUR SUPPORT TODAY!
Do you remember the excitement, great soccer matches and the multi-million dollar economic impact when we hosted World Cup in 1994? Well, we have a chance to be a part of it again! The United States is bidding on the 2018 and 2022 games and though the games are far away, the fun and excitement of the bid process is happening right now.

The City of Orlando and Orange County, in partnership with the Central Florida Sports Commission, have made it through two rounds of bids and are one of 27 sites still in contention to host the games. But we need your help now!

Please take a moment and go to www.gousabid.com and sign the petition to bring the World Cup back to the United States!
As we're always looking for ways to improve our service, we welcome your input and appreciate your thoughts, ideas or stories you may have to share.

GO RUSH!!!

Sincerely,

Richie Gray
