What state has the highest number of prescriptions per capita?
According to the latest figures the most medicated was West Virginia with 17.2 prescriptions per capita, followed by Missouri, 15.9; Tennessee, 15.8; Alabama, 15.7; and Kentucky, 15.4.
The least: Alaska, 6.5; California, 7.4; and Hawaii, 7.7.

The recent merger of St. Paul, Minn-based RxHub and Alexandria, Va-based SureScripts will provide a major boost to the interconnectivity needed to accelerate the adoption of electronic prescribing.
The two networks expect to transmit 100 million prescriptions online this year and field 70 million requests by doctors. Read more> |
