I know it is a little late for the February newsletter, but I could not write this without mentioning the Giants and I did not want to jinx them.  No problem now, the Giants won the Superbowl! Hooray!!  What an exciting game.

            Now we can turn our attention to Valentine's Day and later in the month the beginning of Lent.  One of the prizes in our Red Envelope promotion was 5 truffles and pralines.  Many people didn't know we made them here at the bakery or how they were different from regular candies.  "Just taste them," was always the answer.  Boy did we get a lot of feedback. - "Best ever," "never tasted anything like this before," "Wow," are just a few comments.  We use the finest Belgium chocolate.  Our chocolate shells range from a 70% premium dark chocolate to a milk chocolate with hints of caramel that we specially blend.  Our fillings are made in the traditions of both Belgian and Swiss confectioners.  Our new passion fruit truffle is getting rave reviews.

            This Valentines Day is a Tuesday.  Instead of fighting crowds and noise and restaurants, why not plan a quiet dinner at home with all those you love.  You can keep it simple, perhaps a fondue or small pick up foods.  A nice dessert would be a special ending before you send the kids to bed.  Check out some Valentines ideas in the side bar.  Buy any full size heart shaped cake and we will include 2 FREE chocolate dipped strawberries that you can share with your intimate valentine.
