Greetings! The Thanksgiving holiday is next week so I felt a short note was necessary. Our special ours and order guidelines are outlined below. We are open Thanksgiving day to ensure that the freshest pies, cakes and breads are available. Our breads are just hours from our ovens to your table. Last week we had a family dinner of Sauerbraten with rye bread; believe me the bread makes a huge difference.
The family coming together is what makes Thanksgiving special. Unfortunately many people can't or don't have the opportunity to celebrate like that; still Thanksgiving should have a special meaning. I remember in grade school having to write an essay on what you are thankful for and on the news today the reporter was asking some youngsters the same question, of course some of the answers were very amusing! I think one of the most moving Thanksgiving proclamations comes from the writings of Abraham Lincoln. Please read this link Thanksgiving proclamation here.
Upon reading it I have come up with an exercise. Everyday before you go to bed write down (really, you should write it down) one thing in that day that you are thankful for. It is amazing that in the span of just a few days you will see a common theme. After several weeks you can create a personal thanksgiving statement. I started this in the first week of November, but perhaps you could start on Thanksgiving and continue through the end of the year. Compile your findings for New Years day; I believe this will fortify you for 2011.
Please accept best wishes from everyone at Reinwald's Bakery for a pleasant and peaceful Thanksgiving.
Sincerely, Rich Reinwald Reinwald's Bakery
