Welcome to December....
Greetings!

Everyone at Reinwald's Bakery Hopes you and your family and friends enjoyed a peaceful Thanksgiving. The bakery was closed on Friday so all our employees could have the entire Thursday with their families without worrying about their early start time (2 am) on Friday.

We all came back on Saturday with a new sense of purpose and long to do lists to start our preparation for Christmas. All truly enjoy making our unique Christmas treats though at times the pressure shows. After all we only have three weeks until Christmas eve.

Carole and I truly appreciate everyone who visits the bakery. We understand that you may go out of your way or make an extra stop to shop here. We try to make all our products worth your extra effort. We use only the finest ingredients and have highly skilled workers. Our bakers have over 300 years experience collectively. We have two Certified Master Bakers, a Certified Cake Decorator, and a Culinary Institute graduate.

People often come up to me and say that our cookies are the best they have ever had. Many bakery salesman say the same thing. Pick up a tray this holiday, perfect to bring to a party or just leave on your counter at home. Order a tray online for pick up or delivery and we will include a small sample of our German Christmas cookies with your order.

Thanks to all our E-club members for reading my ramblings. I hope all of you come in for your end of the year gift. This year's gift is a unique hot plate/bread warmer that was made specially for Reinwald's Bakery by a small Kiln in upstate New York. We had a limited number made and who knows it may be a collector's item one day. I used mine on Thanksgiving by putting it hot in the bottom of our bread basket and it worked rather well. Hope to see you all over the next few weeks.

Sincerely,

Richard Reinwald

Reinwald's Gets a Special Visitor...
On Friday, November 21 Reinwald's Bakery was fortunate to have a special visit. General Mills President of Food Service, Marie Morgan stopped by the bakery while she was on Long Island meeting with clients.

While touring the shop and a sampling of our popular Thanksgiving items Morgan and Mr. Reinwald spoke about the retail baking industry. The direction of the discussion was what General Mills could do to strengthen the retail baking industry which makes up a considerable amount of the company's overall revenue.

Mr. Reinwald is very grateful for this opportunity and looks forward to continue his undertaking of keeping retail bakeries alive with the help of one of the largest milling companies in the world.

A Huntington Tale .....

Reinwald's Bakery is proud to use local labor and try and use New York companies. We are very glad to have found Seneca ceramics to make this year's gift. I also try to do this for my personal gifts. We had an enjoyable shopping time last year by visiting many of Huntington Village shops. Many of these shops have unique items that are also a good value. You also avoid much of the anxiety of going to a mall or those trendy outlet malls. I can attest better service and less picked over merchandise at a fair price by staying in Huntington. Time saved can be used for much more enjoyable things. I don't know about you but I would rather share a cup of tea and Christmas stollen with my wife than wait 5 light changes in a left hand turning lane only to find you have to go straight. I say go straight to Huntington Village. Support those who support your community.
The housing crunch has hit Long Island...

Even though things look rough in our real estate market here on Long Island, you can still find quality housing at an affordable rate. Forget about capes, colonials and town houses; this year Reinwald's has the sweetest real estate deal in town. Order your Gingerbread Houses online and save 10% off the store price!
