Fall Logo 2
Greetings!

Happy Halloween! The First of November is Saturday. My mother always said, "time marches on" and I remember replying, "so..."  I guess as you get older it suddenly takes on meaning.

Once again I would like to thank the entire community for backing our "Cupcakes for a Cause" campaign. We sold over 1,200 cupcakes and are making an $800 contribution to Cancer Care for Kids. I love the sense of community in Huntington. That is what attracted me to come here 20 years ago.

Some years back Reinwald's Bakery had a marketing campaign which sent out coupons to new households in Huntington, it was our way of welcoming new members of the community and introducing them to our bakery. In conversations with some of the new home owners I asked what attracted them to Huntington? Many of the answers were the same. Some liked our waterfronts and beaches along with our good schools and hospitals. However the top answer was they liked the village and the anchor to the community that it provided.

With the holiday shopping season drawing nearer please remember to preserve our quality of life by patronizing the stores that make our community so special. Also, November 2nd marks the beginning of Restaurant Week in Suffolk County. This a great opportunity to experience some Long Island's cuisine. Remember, you can save a little money by doing what our family has always done, stop at Reinwald's and eat your dessert at home.

Best Regards,

Richard Reinwald

Cupcakes for a Cause was a huge Success!

Halloween cupcakesA warm thank you to everyone who participated in our cupcakes for a cause initiative. During the month of October we topped our goal of 1200 cupcakes by 110. 50 cents from each cupcake sold was donated to Cancer Care for Kids, helping children and teens affected by cancer. On top of the $655 raised, Reinwald's added another $150 for a grand total of $805! This was the first year that we participated in the program and can not wait to do it again next year.  Once again thanks for helping our community!
