You can now quickly and easily access information about RULES and our materials for healthcare professionals including Medically Speaking, The Medically Speaking Inventory ( MSI), and Medically Speaking RULES. We also have a new address and currently accept Purchase Orders from institutions for your convenience. Check it out at www.eslrules.com.

Upcoming Events

Please visit us at the upcoming International TESOL convention in New York City from April 3-5, 2008.  We will be at booth #1219, and will also be presenting, "Scripts in Accent Training for Conversational Fluency," on Friday evening, April 4th from 7:00 p.m.-7:45 p.m. in Sheraton-New York Ballroom West. Please stop by if you're in the neighborhood!

Marketing Materials Available

Trainers and teachers have been asking us for marketing materials for the ESL RULES products. Good news!  We have updated our flyers and they are now available for purchase at a nominal fee. Save time by including detailed information about your course materials, including powerful testimonials from satisfied clients!

In the News

Many of you are trying to expand your services into the medical area or are being asked to develop curriculums for foreign born medical professionals. Knowledge about trends in the industry will give you an advantage over competitors. Are you aware of the new HCAPS (Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) surveys that are in effect beginning March 2008?  Twenty-six percent of the items on these hospital patient satisfaction questionnaires address caregiver-patient communication. Knowledge of the new standardized survey will provide leverage when marketing to hospital administrators.  Learn more about it at www.hcapsonline.org.

For additional tips on improving healthcare provider communication, see our article, "Keys to Optimal Patient Care," in the Advance for Healthcare Careers Annual Resource Guide (2008) or go to  The Communication Component in the February 4, 2008 online issue of Advance for Nurses. Check www.successfully-speaking.com for information relevant to physicians and nurses.
