Ideally, the yogi and yogini practice for the well-being of all. Practice executed without this sacred motivation only plants seeds for unhappiness. In fact, anything at all done with only one's own self-interest in mind results in unhappiness.
With correct understanding of karma and emptiness, good actions can become great ones, neutral ones good and bad ones at least neutral.
How?
An action is made virtuous by our intention to benefit all beings: the action itself is without any self-nature of being good, bad or neutral.
In everything that you do, washing the dishes, going to the doctor, walking the dog, going to class, eating, sleeping, everything, think in your mind "I am doing _____ for the benefit of all beings." And believe it.
May this dose help you, Kelly
