"MEDITATION BRINGS WISDOM; LACK OF MEDITATION LEAVES IGNORANCE. KNOW WHAT LEADS YOU FORWARD AND WHAT HOLDS YOU BACK: CHOOSE THE PATH TO WISDOM."
~The Dammapada (or as the Chinese say "Talk doesn't cook rice.)

To the experienced meditator, a person who doesn't meditate looks and feels like a chicken running around with its head cut off.
The
hairy beast you call "a full and active life", whose features are
stress, worry and irritation, seems 'normal'. We tend to think these
features denote intelligent engagement. Calm, anxiety-free, happy
people must not read the papers.
And
so we continue with the frantic, frightening drama of worldly life.
Life is spent waiting, like a furtive child under the stairs, for the
next horrible thing that will happen. And it will
happen, make no mistake. Maybe it'll be cancer this time, or adultery
or foreclosure or a broken ankle or a son heading off to war. Samsara,
the cycle of pain that is unenlightened life, is filled with joyful
fuel when you suffer, for your suffering is her pleasure, her domain,
her life's blood. With your suffering, she continues her monstrous
spinning, triumphant over you.
People
who meditate know better. Having lived that life, they know a life
lived like that is the waste of a precious chance. At worst, it is a
life wasted. They have learned that they and you are meant for better.
Much, much , much better. Better than we could ever imagine.
There
is a FREE guided meditation on my site, from a living, functioning,
guaranteed lineage, the Gelukpa lineage. Please take advantage of it,
before its too late, and samsara has fully taken advantage of you, by killing you.
You can't meditate when you are dead.
