Cultural Art Happenings April 2012

Want to be a part of an international art project? Then join Geographer-at-Large Eames Demetrios on April 12th at the Grace Museum for a special Kcymaerxthaere scavenger hunt honoring the Museum of the Bench. The scavenger hunt starts at ArtWalk and finishes at the Kcymaerxthaere historical site on April 14th.

The stage comes to life later this month with two shows that families will love. Alice in Wonderland on the 15th presented by Children's Performing Arts Series and Sherk the Musical on the 17th presented by The Best of Broadway.

While we're in the family friendly mode, we hope you will help us give The Cat in the Hat a home in Abilene! To add another dimension to our Children's Arts and Literacy Festival this June, we are raising funds to purchase a Cat in the Hat bronze to be placed permanently downtown. But we need your help! Please click the link below and help us reach our goal! Every little bit helps and you will be invited to the special unveiling at ArtWalk, Thursday, June 14th in Everman Park.
