Happy Post Patty's Day Or as the girls around here called it, St Ga Ga's Day. Lady Ga Ga was in town for her concert last night. If this is news to you, I hope you're one of my out of town readers. If not, I hope you're cozy under that rock. It seems she trumped St Patty's Day at least for those under a certain age. The staff here at T'eez was Ga Ga for Ga Ga and were inspired to dress as their favorite Ga Ga incarnation. You gotta check out these pics HERE. There have been plenty of to go around. Like her or not she is undeniably huge and did it in a very short amount of time and without a sex tape. Yes, many of her outfits don't leave much to the imagination but let's face it, comparatively she has kept her feet on the ground and been rated PG in a world of R and X contemporaries. Not to mention train wrecks like Lindsay and Charlie (winning!). Even Madonna showed more skin to win. I don't get the sense that we will be finding her sprawled out in a hotel with a needle stuck in her arm either. I have to say Ga Ga has won me over. I'm not running out buying her CDs but I can appreciate what she's go going on. She writes catchy songs and can play piano and sing really well without the aid of electronic enhancement. Her talent goes far beyond just music too, as she has manipulated modern media to catapult herself past everyone on the scene in a few short years. Her outlandish costumes have become the new dream catalog for drag queens everywhere. Her short lived controversy about her gender equipment under those leotards has pasted but she showed she has balls anyway with her advocacy for gay rights, taking on the monolith, Target for their corporate support of anti gay marriage legislation. That's saying a lot because Target is a huge retailer for her music. Speaking of Target, what the hell? I can't think of a more gay retail giant. They were just another KMart competitor until they re-branded themselves and went FABULOUS with their marketing and merchandising. It's just so weird to hear about their corporate stance against gay rights. Maybe their board didn't realize that's what their merchandising and advertising departments were doing to make them all their money. It seems they were secretly infiltrated by really smart gay people, unbeknownst to them. Hey Target, here's a news flash, Isaac Mizrahi isn't just waiting for the right woman to come along. OK so if you went to the Ga Ga show I hope you had a great time. I didn't go but the whole crew from T'eez did. I'll just appreciate from afar. I didn't need anyone asking me if I was looking for my daughter. Plus, I have to save up for the next Bieber show.
ps: On a personal note, Happy Birthday Mom. I always thought the day after St Patty's was an unfortunate date for an Irish Lass to have to celebrate her birthday. Oh well, happy birthday mom and thanks for the green eyes.
