Here comes the Sun
I try not to ever go without mentioning that although this holiday weekend signals the beginning of fun in the sun for most of us, there are many that observe Memorial Day with reverence and some with sadness. We remember those lost in battle and also those dear to us that we've said goodbye to. I hope the spring air and warming sun help those saddened by loss to look forward to what is now upon us. Enjoy family and friends. Get outside, kick your shoes off and do something. Old Man Winter is gone, and what a winter it was. My kids just got out of school for the summer. Remember how great that was? I can still muster that ole feeling by living vicariously through them. Three months of irresponsible unbridled madness. Playtime! Tough to beat that memory and feeling. Oh don't even worry, I'm gonna get out there and mix it up with the neighborhood dudes. I still have a few "sik" skateboard tricks they haven't mastered. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to impress them with anything so I gotta get what I can now. Note to self: check on insurance policy.
