YOGA PLACE NEWS
July/August 2010

Greetings!
     Namaste.
Perhaps influenced by the warm spring rains bringing new growth and possibilities, The Yoga Place is bringing in new teachers and workshops.  The fresh summer breezes call us all  outdoors, yet it is so important to maintain your yoga practice.

There is no question that practicing yoga brings a strong inner sense of peace and well being.  And you will be glad to know that Western researchers are beginning to confirm what the yogis have always known, YOGA IS GOOD FOR YOUR HEALTH AND YOUR MENTAL STATE.  And moreover, "If you do yoga, you will feel good."

     Within this newsletter is:
SUMMER SCHEDULE for the 9 weeks of July and August, 2010.
FREE YOGA CLASS and photo shoot on Saturday June 26th.
WORKSHOP:  RESTORATIVE YOGA Sun July 11
 PILATES:  a note

So please read on and appreciate the beauty of our lives here in Vermont.  This morning, as I watched the valley mist rise up to meet the sun, enhancing the vibrant greens of June, my breath visible in the cool morning air, I knew and know that we are graced in our lives here.  Do not squander this precious life!
    Best love to you all

RESTORATIVE YOGA
WITH
ALI WASSICK

Restorative yoga is a therapeutic style of yoga that focuses on relaxation, renewal and ease, allowing the mind and body to relax deeply and completely.  Blankets, bolsters and straps support the body to help release tension and stored-up toxins in the tissues. This practice soothes your nervous system, helps you quiet your mind and invites you to release deep tension held in the body.  Restorative yoga is ideal for individuals looking for stress relief or for those suffering from chronic pain, illness, injury or depression.  This practice is also perfect for a  gentle introduction to yoga techniques.  No prior yoga experience is necessary.
