- The homecare community needs to carry its fight against competitive bidding to Capitol Hill through in-person visits to the House and Senate. Nobody can make the argument against competitive bidding better than those providers living it or who face it in upcoming rounds;
- Educate those dozens of new House and Senate legislators about the challenges of homecare:
- competitive bidding that is killing the industry, hampering physicians and discharge planners and leading to diminution in the quality of care for beneficiaries;
- burdensome (time consuming and costly) audits
- unrealistic reimbursement for oxygen;
- problematic new limitations for providing mobility products
- Call for support of homecare-supported legislation
This year's legislative conference provides a unique opportunity for HME community to educate this large group of 107 new legislators, while strengthening important relationships with veteran members of Congress. Confirmed speakers include Representatives Jason Altmire (D-Pa.), Tom Price (R-Ga.), Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.), and Glenn Thompson (R-Pa.). Click here to register!
