Complex Rehab Benefit Initiative Webinars Announced

 
Don Clayback, Executive Director of NCART and Chair of the Complex Rehab Technology Steering Committee announced on Friday, November 13th that discussions to obtain separate benefit recognition for Complex Rehab Technology products and services are moving forward.  To keep all interested parties informed and provide an opportunity for questions and comments the committee has scheduled a second round of webinar updates.
 
The purpose of a separate benefit is to improve and protect accessto Complex Rehab Technology products and services for individuals with significant disabilities and medical conditions.  In pursuit of this endeavor an industry steering committee, consisting of members from NCART, AAHomecare's Complex Rehab and Mobility Council, NRRTS and RESNA, was formed to work with all stakeholders, including:
 
� Consumers and Consumer Groups
� Clinicians and Clinician Groups
� Complex Rehab Technology Providers
� Complex Rehab Technology Manufacturers
� State Associations
� DME MAC Medical Directors
� CMS
� Congress
 
The webinar will provide an update on activities to date and the next steps that are being undertaken to prepare for legislative and regulatory action in 2010.  It will be offered at two different times to allow greater participation.
