Medi-Cal DME Competitive Bidding Project Cancelled
 
CAMPS previously informed you that Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is in the development stages of an RFP for durable medical equipment through manufacturers using the competitive bid process.  Unlike Medicare's competitive bid project, DHCS would seek guaranteed acquisition prices from the manufacturers.  CAMPS participated in the provider stakeholder meetings and raised many concerns with the procurement process. 
 
An e-mail released yesterday by DHCS, Office of Medi-Cal Procurement announced the cancellation of this project.  You can access more information on their website at:
