Knitting Tip of the Month
An easy to make yarn holder for one of your projects might be an empty oatmeal container. Clean the inside thoroughly and decorate the outside with contact paper or by wrapping yarn around it. Cut a hole in the plastic top to pull yarn through.

Welcome to the third issue of "Knit In Prayer".  Here we will bring you scripture, stories, knit tips and ideas each month.

God is in the Little Things

Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron, to give him dignity and honor  Ex 28:2

Read the entire second chapter of Exodus and see how God writes a pattern for a garment. I found it interesting that He took such care for the detail of the garment.

He asks them to get their best craftsmen. In the instructions He tells exactly what color and how many stones to use.   This pattern is very detailed, right down to the underwear. Underwear?!!?  Yes, read verse 42. "Make linen undergarments as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh.

I think what impressed me most about this passage was noticing that God was involved even in the little things, like undergarments and buttons.

When I get overwhelmed by the little things in my life I think about this verse and remind myself that He is with me always; in the big things and the little ones too. I just have to read the instructions and look to Him.
