Words Of Wisdom:
Be accepting of yourself and recognize that because there is no one else like you, you have a gift. Use this gift to make your mark and make the world a better place. Mistakes help me grow and I can proudly say I have grown alot. Jenn Bittner | |

Thankful Thoughts
The coming seasonal holidays are all about being thankful for what really matters. They are about what being good is all about. The best asset of goodness is not that we ourselves are good but rather that our goodness leads to good fruits. Good fruits spread their seeds and create more good fruits and so on. These good fruits are the clients, employees, family, friends, children...the people that we share our lives with. How we do good is by helping others be good. Give them praise. Keep them focused. Encourage and help them. This weeks tips will help you have fun and keep it all in perspective of what really matters.
6. Auction Event: Offer some items from your business and invite other surrounding businesses to get in on it. This auction can add as part of your holiday party. You will make it more memorable, create entertainment and make feel good by doing something good for others.
7. Launching a new product: offer free samples at a party. It could be casual. Take this time to get up close and connect with everyone in your organization.
8. Wait untill New Year's to thank your clients. You could offer tips to sweep out the old and create great fortune in the coming year.
9. Send them healthy snack gift baskets instead of the other high calorie stuff we get into during the holidays. Trust me they will be glad you gave them something crunchy like popcorn, pretzels, fruit, organic snacks, salmon, nuts and all natural products.
10. Take some time and reflect on what is important to you? Sometimes we forget.
Thanks for reading. If you are interested in using one of these ideas but have questions please email me. I would love to hear from you.

Happy Friday Everyone! GO Green!
(Brought to you from idealbite.com)
What's better than a screw cap on your wine bottle?
Cork forests are endangered, but surprisingly, if we opt for wine with real corks instead of the newer plastic and metal caps, we'll support these forests' existence through the magic of supply and demand.
The Benefits
Cork is made from stripping bark off cork oak trees without damaging the trees.
Putting a cork in cap production.
Cork trees can live for well over 100 years and keep regrowing their bark, while new metal and plastic has to be mined and manufactured for those noncork caps.
Helping the birds and bees...and lynxes. Rare wildlife, such as the Iberian lynx, depend on cork oak forests for their survival.
If 10,000 Biters send ten evites instead of paper invites, we'll save more than ten trees. Remember E-vites from way back when?
It was a different time. E-invitation sites offered boring greetings so impersonal, they sorta made you wanna kill a tree. The next gen of ecard sites help you get social without eliciting groans from everyone on your guest list.
Check out evite.com or sendoutcards.com for some extraordinary E-invitation options.
Recipe Corner: Holiday entertaining is approaching so each week I will post a favorite recipe of mine and please share your favorite recipe with us and I will post it in the newsletter with your name.
This is a broccoli salad with raisins and sunflower seeds, along with red onion and a sweet-sour mayonnaise dressing. Ingredients:
5 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup cooked, crumbled bacon
1/4 cup of red onion, chopped
Dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise (you can use miracle whip is just a bit sweeter)
2 tablespoons vinegar
1/2 cup sugar
Preparation: Combine broccoli florets, raisins, sunflower seeds, crumbled bacon, chopped onion in a large serving bowl. In a separate bowl or large cup, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar. Add dressing to the salad and toss to mix well; chill thoroughly before serving. Broccoli salad serves 4 to 6.
My relatives request I make this dish to pass at every family event we go to. Great recipe! It is from a homemakers cookbook I have and has been around for years and years. Tried and true!

Jenn & Dave Bittner
Today I wanted to give recognition to two entities:
Jeff Anderson, Manager of Annual Giving with the Aspirus Health Foundation.
I have been fortunate enough to work with Jeff on the board of the Festival Of Trees this year. He portrays the true meaning of going the extra mile. His organization and positive attitude toward his work is a good example for all to follow.
I am proud to be able to be of assistance to Jeff and the foundation this year for the Festival Of Trees.
If you would like more information about the Festival visit the website through this link,
Tammy Fochs and her team at Krueger Floral- N-Gifts are beyond excellent! The efforts they are making to make the Festival of Trees a stupendous success are above and beyond the expected. Tammy and her team have gone to great lengths to supply, support and above all bring a bit of holiday magic to the Festival of Trees and all who are involved. I am in awe as to the amount of work Krueger Floral has done and will do to make The Festival Of Trees a truly breathtaking experience for all who attend.
Thank you Tammy Fochs and all of your team at Krueger Floral-N-Gifts!
I recommend Krueger Floral for all your floral needs!
