I love yearling work! I think working with a yearling makes for a much better riding horse. Most yearlings eagerly look forward to their daily activities. They love "playing" and learning at the same time. We teach out yearlings so many things that will be so helpful to their "in saddle" training. Yearlings that have gone through the yearling training at Mountaintop Ranch have a clear advantage to those that have not .... it is much easier to start young horses who have had yearling training. ( easier on them and easier on the trainer)
