This is a follow email to keep you up to date with Gracie, our adopted horse. She is 9 years old and only knew a life of abuse and starvation. Our goal is to give Gracie a useful life where she will not hurt anyone nor will she be hurt.
So far in Gracie's training...she can pick up her feet, she does beautiful round pen work, she is accepting the cinch better and she is doing a wonderful job ground driving. I will be showing more video as she goes along.
This video is showing the first few attemps at mounting Gracie.As you can see from the video she was trying alot of different escape hatches.., but the final result which I do not have on video can be seen from the photo below. She is now doing well when being mounted in the water....just wanted to show you some of the things that we have to "go through" or learn before we are successful.
We salute all of you who are so dedicated to horses like Gracie...it is never easy....and should never be done by a novice.
We also want to take this opportunity to tell you about Roxie, the red dun paint in the video who is so helpful to Gracie. She is so kind and patient...Roxie is the horse people dream about owning...well trained and always cool, calm and collected!
