18th Annual Coastal Georgia Economic Outlook Luncheon Camden County was well represented at the 18th Annual Coastal Georgia Economic Outlook Luncheon this year. Special thank you to Georgia Power for providing a van to transport most of us to Sea Palms Resort. The drive up was pleasant and everyone enjoyed each others company, the food was good, but the economic news...well just wasn't that great.
The national and Georgia forecasts were discussed, followed by individual sector analyses including: Construction, Manufacturing, Transportation, Utilities, Information, Financial markets, Retail trade, Services, Hospitality and Life Sciences. Read what Dean Robert T. Sumichrast of UGA's Terry College of Business had to say.
Those in attendance with the Chamber included:Joel Hanner, David Keating, Christine Daniel, Alyce Thornhill, Steve Howard, Jim Lomis, Holly Christensen, Barbara Ryan, Pat Lee, Dr. Fareed Kadum, Mandi Kirby, Richard Collinsworth, Terry Carter, Marty Klumpp, Lee Robertson, Bill Gross, Keith Post & Debbie Graham. |

Business After Hours
The January Business After Hours co-sponsored by College of Coastal Georgia and JP's Wines and Spirits was fabulous! If you did not attend the event, you missed a spectacular display of food, terrific networking and an opportunity to see the beautiful Camden Campus. The food prepared by Chef Steve and his Culinary Department was outstanding. So many people asked if they were for hire. The sushi was absolutely delicious!
Top view of the crowd enjoying the fabulous food
