USS ALASKA (SSBN) (732) Welcome Home Picnic

The Community gladly welcomed home the USS ALASKA (SSBN) (732) to Naval Submarine Base, Kings Bay.  The Camden County Chamber of Commerce, Navy League and Morale, Welfare & Recreation hosted the picnic.  The officers, crew and families had a wonderful day playing volleyball, swimming, visiting with the other families, and the children were occupied with the bouncy gym.

The hamburgers were prepared by Bubba Burgers and John Minor cooked up a mean hot dog or two or 200.  Thank you to the many volunteers from the Chamber, Navy League, MWR, Century 21, Fleet & Family Services, K-Bay and the officers and crew.  Without your time, planning, organization and support this event would not have been the success it was. Special thanks to our sponsor VT Griffin.
