Eformation Series Webinar:
Online Distributed Fundraising (Date Correction) Friday, July 10
8:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Understaffed? Help others to fundraise for you!
Have friends or colleagues ever asked you to support a cause by going to their webpage and making a donation? Did you notice their beaming pride as they raised money for a cause dear to their hearts?
Leverage the passion of your staff, volunteers, and supporters by asking them to fundraise for you!
Learn about software tools that will help your supporters set up their own fundraising pages (with their own stories, pictures, and fundraising targets) and then solicit their contacts on behalf of your organization. We'll talk through some best practices for succeeding with distributed fundraising and look at some of the software options available to support it.
(Please Note: this webinar is not a hands-on workshop teaching the details of setting up a fundraising page using a specific vendor's software.)
Sliding Scale Fee: $15 / $20 / $25 / $35 Register by Tuesday, July 7, 5:00 p.m

Conversation with the Funder
California Community Foundation
Thursday, July 16
11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The California Community Foundation's mission is to strengthen Los Angeles communities through effective philanthropy and civic engagement and it envisions a Los Angeles County made up of safe, thriving and diverse communities.
In 2008, the foundation awarded $220 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles County, across the country and worldwide. Of this amount, nearly 70% were donor advised grants (not open to requests for funding). Competitive grants in the areas of the arts, education, health care, human development, and neighborhood vitalization represented 10.6% of this $220 million amount, with the remainder awarded through scholarships, supporting organizations, and special initiatives.
Program Director Tamu Jones will provide an overview of the California Community Foundation's goals, programs, and funding partnership guidelines, as well answer specific questions not addressed by the California Community Foundation's website.
