OUR MISSION:

Transform Boston so that every resident can access and afford healthy, locally-grown food and enjoy public spaces and opportunities for active living.

Greetings!

Everything is coming up green: the highlights of Gardeners Gathering, a meeting to move forward on the Fairmont Greenway project and green and other vibrant vegetables at the Copley Market opening early May.  Take a stroll, a run a bike ride and enjoy the greening of Boston!

A special Hall of Fame award was given to Betsy Johnson who is one of the founders and president of the South End Lower Roxbury Open Space Land Trust. Johnson is nationally recognized for her advocacy on behalf of community gardens. She also founded Garden Futures which created Boston's Master Urban Gardener volunteer and mentoring program.

The Gardeners Gathering is presented annually by Boston Natural Areas Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing together local residents, partner organizations, public officials and foundations to preserve, expand and enhance urban open space, including community gardens, greenways and urban wilds.
