"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I pray some senator would earmark a couple million $$ and drop it into your laps. The books were a great and wonderful gift."

Book Drive - This Saturday!!

BRING US YOUR BOOKS TO BRIGHTON!

Are your bookshelves bursting at the seams? Do you have books you'd like to donate to a good cause? The Prison Book Program and the City Mission Society are joining forces for the second year in a row to make it easier than ever for gently used books to benefit others by presenting The Great American Book Drive™. Let us find your used books a new home! A percentage of the profits from their sale will fund two great programs. It's about literacy, not landfill.

Date:  Saturday, November 8th

Time:  10am to 3pm

Place:  Brighton/Allston Congregational Church, 404 Washington Street, Brighton, MA

Note:
If you do not live near the Boston area, please consider donating your unwanted books to a "books to prisoners" program near you or to another Great American Book Drive

HELP US SEND ALL REQUESTS BY THE HOLIDAYS

Our store room is overflowing with book packages waiting to be mailed to prisoners.  Our bookshelves are overflowing with really good books and we have legions of volunteers lining up to fill book requests.  Please help us send books to over 1500 waiting prisoners in time for the holidays!

As you plan your year-end charitable contributions, please consider making a tax-deductible donation today! Just $3 lets us help another prisoner.  $30 sends books to 10 prisoners.  We make so little go so far!
