"I sincerely thank you angels of literacy. Instead of a gem or even a flower, to give the gift of literature is not only the most precious gift anyone can ever receive, but is also giving as the angels would give. Thank you all for offering it to us."

Brighten the Holidays of a Prisoner
HELP US SEND ALL REQUESTS BY THE HOLIDAYS

Our bookshelves are overflowing with choice books and we have legions of volunteers lining up to fill book requests.  We are poised to be able to clear our backlog of 1126 letters by the holidays.  We just need money to mail them!  Help us brighten the holidays of our often-forgotten customers across the country by making a tax-deductible donation today! Just $3 lets us help another prisoner.

Open House
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, 2-4 PM

Join us at the United First Parish Church in Quincy on Saturday October 25th for an Open House.  We will be joined by Harvard Sociologist Bruce Western who will talk about the state of prison education and it's impact on our communities.
  • Visit our improved space.
  • Socialize with others interested in prison education.
  • Learn about what we can do together to fight the educational inequalities facing people incarcerated in the U.S.
Check out our website for more information.
"America's prisons have become vast repositories of poor men with little schooling and few prospects. Prison education, and the books to support that education, are urgently needed to help reverse mass incarceration."
