"Thank you for the very nice dictionary that Prison Book Program sent me... I'm much more excited about and enjoy reading through my new dictionary simply because it has so many words in it and I can learn how to spell each world along with it's meaning."

PLEASE CHECK OUR WEBSITE BEFORE YOU COME TO QUINCY!

The United First Parish Church (our landlord) will be doing some maintenance work in our workspace sometime in August.  Unfortunately, they don't know when.  We will post the closing information on our website when we know.  Please check out our homepage for more information before you come to Quincy to volunteer.
Open House
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, 2-4 PM

Join us on October 25th at our office in Quincy for an open house.  Learn more about our program and what we can do together to fight the educational inequalities facing people incarcerated in the US.

We will also be joined by Harvard Sociology professor Bruce Western who will speak on education in the prison system and its affect on the community.

Stay tuned to our website for more information.
2nd Annual Community Book Drive

PLAN A DRIVE AT YOUR COMPANY, NEIGHBORHOOD, CHURCH, SCHOOL OR ANYWHERE ELSE YOU HANG OUT!

Date:  Early November

A community book drive is really many smaller drives.  And you can run one!  All you have to do is set up a place for people to drop off books, encourage them to do so and then bring the books to our gathering place.

Other ways to help:
  • Go through your bookshelves and find books to donate.
  • Volunteer to be on the planning committee.

Stay tuned to our website for more information.

Please contact info@prisonbookprogram.org for more information.
