LLMD Recognized as Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home
| |

Lisa Larkin, M.D., & Associates is proud to announce we have achieved accreditation as a LEVEL 3 PATIENT CENTERED MEDICAL HOME (PCMH), as awarded by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).
What is a Patient Centered Medical Home?
A patient-centered medical home (PCMH) is a model for care provided by practices that seek to strengthen the physician-patient relationship by working in partnership with individual patients, their personal providers, and when appropriate, the patient's family. This approach allows better access to health care, increases satisfaction with care, and improves overall health of the patient. It also is based on coordinated care and a long-term healing relationship.
A medical home is not simply a "doctor's office" but a model of primary care that delivers care that is:
- Patient-centered
- Comprehensive
- Coordinated
- Accessible
- Continuously improved through a systems-based approach to quality and safety
It means Lisa Larkin M.D. & Associates is working to be "proactive" about your health care, to keep you feeling well, and not simply being "reactive" when you are sick. The end result is a healthier you.
NCQA Accreditation is a rigorous and comprehensive evaluation process. Our Level 3 accreditation is the highest level of recognition awarded, and is an achievement designated to only a small number of practices nationwide. The practice has been working diligently over the past 12 months, under the direction of Practice Manager Rob Rickenbaugh and Dr. Lisa Joliat, to implement significant practice improvements in our quest to receive accreditation. Many thanks for their efforts!
You can read more about this prestigious accreditation and what the honor means to a group practice like ours in this article from ACPInternist here.

Better Health Blog
|
We're only half-way through another Cincinnati winter! The majority of us like to spend more time indoors during the winter months. Most people do not think of the indoor allergens they can be exposed to when relaxing in the comfort of their own home. Things like perfume , scented candles and even air fresheners can trigger asthma or allergies. Anna Fox, Certified Nurse Practitioner, tells us to be mindful of what we expose ourselves and others to during the winter season in her recent guest post. Read the full post here.

Your Old Cell Phone Can Help Save Lives
|
Healthcare workers across the globe are often working out of remote locations, sometimes in places with no access to electricity. Cell phones are an absolute necessity to these workers. They help provide families with access to emergency healthcare, medical clinics and transport services. Hope Phones is an organization that enables you to donate your old cell phone to the global healthcare cause. How many of us have an old phone collecting dust in a desk drawer somewhere? Why not recycle it and have it help an amazing cause? Lisa Larkin, M.D. & Associates is going to give you that opportunity by providing a cell phone recycling box in the waiting room at our office. Simply bring your old phone in and place it in the box so it can be used to assist healthcare workers in the fight to save lives across the globe. For more information on Hope Phones and how you can help, check out this video and visit

HSA Insurance Payment Policy
|
Patients with high-deductible health savings account (HSA) insurance plans are required to pay in full for their visit at the time of service. We do offer a 10% discount for patients paying in full.
If you can provide proof that your deductible has been met for the year (either through an explanation of benefits or a printout from your insurance carrier), we will waive this policy. Otherwise, you will need to pay in full (cash, check or credit card) at the time of your visit.
