Merry Christmas from Life Discovery Ministries

 

Dear Friends,  

 

Merry Christmas! The almighty has pierced our world with his vulnerability. Unto you this day a child is born - Jesus Christ our Lord!

Jeane and I want to thank all of you who blessed our home with joy last Monday night. What a lovely time we had visiting with each other and sharing communion together as Mark led us with his guitar and voice in the beautiful songs of Christmas.

 

Please note that we do not meet this year over Christmas (Dec. 24 - 26) or over New Years  (Dec. 31 - Jan. 2). We will keep you informed via e-news about the schedule for next year.

In closing, let me offer this Christmas Prayer for all of us:

O God,

We thank you for the most precious gift of your son. We celebrate his birth with joy and expectation. We embrace the mystery of Emmanuel - God with us.

As we welcome our savior we confess our need for him and we long for health and wholeness in our lives. You know our condition, Lord.

We are busy as innkeepers,
Lonely as shepherds,
Anxious as Mary and Joseph,
Fearful as Herod,
Restless as wise men,
Lost as sheep,
And helpless as babes.

Give us your peace, O Lord - an inner peace that the world cannot take away.

This we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, born the Prince of Peace.
