household name. I can't even begin to imagine being a real
celebrity. Everything you do or say is splashed across the internet

was recently at the launch for Farley Follows His Nose, a picture
book co-written and illustrated by Lynn "For Better Or For
Worse" Johnston.
Several
things she said stuck with me, but one anecdote really hit home:
Each year a book of her strips would be published, and she'd have to
go on a publicity tour. As she'd pack her bags and get ready, her
young son would say "Mom, do you have to be 'Lynn Johnston'
again?"
Nowadays
many women, including myself, are balancing careers and motherhood as
they work from home; but back when she started, Lynn was an anomaly.

 Backstage with Bono and Jann ArdenI recently hosted Live at the Concert Hall with Jann Arden. What happens onstage is for everyone to see. But what goes on backstage is a whole other story. While my amazing makeup artist Lucky Bromhead was evening out my skin with some fancy primer, she casually dropped this bomb on me... "I did U2's makeup this week for the Elvis Costello's Spectacle show". My mouth agape, I responded "What?? You were with Bono and you didn't call me???"
