Hello Friends of Parlando,

 

For several years Parlando has been collaborating with the Kiwanis Club of Boulder to help present the "Stars of Tomorrow" competition.  This year marks the 60th annual Kiwanis Stars of Tomorrow talent show.  It will be held at the Dairy Center and is a wonderful opportunity for any performing artist in the greater Boulder Area. The talent show is open to actors, singers, dancers and instrumentalists from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Students must submit a video of their talent before February 1, 2012.  Based on the submissions, students will be invited to perform at the talent show on Sunday, March 4th. There are classical and contemporary categories in both Junior and Senior divisions.

 

Important dates to keep in mind:

• Videos must be received by February 1, 2012
• Participants will be notified by February 14, 2012 about their talent show status
• The performance date is Sunday March 4, 2012 (performers need to be available from 1-5 for soundcheck and show).

Also, if you are interested in participating in our staged production of "Oliver," please sign up for an audition!  Auditions will be held on Saturday February 11th beginning at 3pm in Parlando's "Large Rehearsal Room" at the Dairy Center in Boulder (2590 Walnut Street). Interested students (grades 3-12) should prepare a musical theater song cut to approximately 1 minute in length. Callbacks will be on Sunday February 12th at 3pm.
