Performance Calendar

Hello Friends of Parlando,

The cornerstones of our mission of sharing the universal language of music and the arts are education, performance and assistance.  During September we have some exciting ways to share and partake in all three of these important areas:

Education

On Saturday September 24th Randy Faber, co-author of the best-selling piano method book series Piano Adventures, will be giving a workshop for area music teachers from 9:00-11:15 am.  If you are, or know of someone who is, a music teacher, especially a piano teacher, please mark this event on your calendar.  Because of the generous support of the Boulder Arts Commission and the Dairy Center, this event is FREE to all participants.  Contact us for more information.

From 11:30 to 12:30 on Saturday September 24th, Randy Faber will be conducting a masterclass for student pianists from our community.  We will have slots for both Parlando and non-Parlando students.  An audition is required but, again, due to the generous support of the Boulder Arts Commission and the Dairy Center, this event is FREE to all participants.  Contact us for more information.

Performance

At 3:30 on Saturday September 24th Randy Faber will be performing a benefit concert for Parlando's Tuition Assistance Program.  Tickets are $5 for students and seniors, $10 for adults and $25 for families.  Contact the Dairy Center for more information and tickets (thedairy.org or 303.4447328).  Please see the next section about attending this concert for FREE.

Assistance

Because access to the arts is important for ALL members of our community, Parlando and the Dairy have set aside 50 FREE tickets for Randy Faber's piano concert for students and families for whom the cost of a ticket is prohibitive.  If you would like to attend but cannot afford it, or if you know of someone who would like to attend but would otherwise be unable to do so, please contact me personally and we will make arrangements for you or those you know to attend.

Support

On Friday September 30th, we will having a party/fundraiser at the beautiful new home of Anne and Mark Shusterman.  As part of our event we will have a Silent Auction.  If you or a business you are a part of has something you can donate in support of Tuition Assistance and Outreach programming, please let us know right away.  And, if you'd like to hear some exceptional performances by Parlando students and faculty members while enjoying some great food and drink, please attend the event!  Tickets/RSVP are available here:
