Studio News
Hello Friends of Parlando,

This past weekend saw the first of what will be an annual Concerto Competition by Parlando School For The Arts.  Many students representing several different instruments performed and competed for the chance to win Parlando's inaugural Concerto Competition event.  This event will be held again during the spring of 2012 with the winner receiving the privilege of performing with the Boulder Chamber Orchestra on one of their season concert programs.

While many orchestras hold their own concerto competitions, the collaborative partnership between a community music school and professional orchestra is unique, even at the national level.  Partnerships like this are central to supporting Parlando's mission of "sharing the language of music and the arts" with all members of our community.  It also provides our students with additional opportunities to perform and receive formal assessments from independent adjudicators.

The top three finalists as well as the honorable mention students will perform their concerti with piano accompaniment in an Honors Recital on March 6th (check our online calendar for more details if you are interested in attending).

We would like to congratulate all who participated and recognize the following students for their achievements and invitation to perform at our Honors Recital!

1st Place: Jacob Kohav

2nd Place: Daniel Spink

3rd Place: Edward Ansill Meyer

Honorable Mention:

Camden Burke

Benjamin Kohav

Cate Thornbury

Hannah William
