Optometry Giving Sight promotes World Sight Day Challenge '08
Hundreds of optometrists across North America will donate their eye examination fees on or around World Sight Day - Thursday, October 9 - to help the estimated 300 million people who are blind or vision impaired simply because they do not have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses.

The World Sight Day Challenge is organized by Optometry Giving Sight, which is the only global initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to "uncorrected refractive error".

PEN, along with Optometry Giving Sight, would like to invite your practice to participate by donating your exam fees from a specified day, or by making a contribution on a one-time, monthly or annual basis.

It's not too late to sign up to make a donation or to donate your eye exam fees on a selected day throughout October. Just call 1-888-OGS-GIVE or visit www.givingsight.org.

Thank you for supporting these worthwhile efforts.
Sincerely,
