How often do you find yourself talking to friends/family realizing that you never see each other? Everyone is sooooo busy. The kids schedule, work, household responsibilities...the list is endless. Make the time for friends/family that mean something to not only you but your children as well.
With kids it is often easier to gather at someones home. Organize a pot luck. Everyone brings something which makes playing hostess easier. If you want to have an evening away from the kids identify a restaurant that has recently opened or that has your favorite cuisine.
The point is that if you put it on your schedule or make it a priority to carve out the time, it is very doable.
Pick up the phone this week and contact a friend/family that you have not seen in quite a while put something on your calendar, even if it is a month out. It does take effort but the rewards are worth it.
|Time to change the clocks!|
Sunday, March 8th, we "sprung" in to Daylight Savings Time. This time of year is always exciting to me because it signifies that spring is just around the corner. It is light out in to the early evening, spring bulbs are beginning to appear, etc. This is a good time of year to perform safety checks around your home.
Take a moment to perform these checks. You will feel secure that your family is safe.

It's the Simple Things in Life!
What makes you happy? This is something that I seem to be asking people regularly these days. If you think about it, they can be some of the simplest things. For me it is the ability to make people laugh, bring a smile to their face or do something for someone that I know makes them happy! Ask yourself what it is that makes you happy. When you define what those things are make a concerted effort to take those actions as frequently as possible. Analyze your list to ensure that it benefits you and others.
Here are a few cheap and easy ways to get happy!
