Glyphosate
Extremely Polar Compounds can now be retained...
easily and with precision |
Using a Cogent Diamond Hydride HPLC Column, you can retain many difficult compounds including Glyphosate using an easy ANP method.
In the chromatogram above, Glyphosate is retained for 3.36 minutes making the capacity factor approximately 3 with this 2.1 x 150mm column. The capacity factor can be manipulated by adjusting the gradient.
Using this column and an ANP method to retain extremely polar compounds it is very easy to achieve high precision. With such high precision, it is possible to use retention time versus accurate mass to identify these compounds. Click on the images above or here for chromatographic method conditions.
Glyphosate is a non-selective herbicide and is used for control of a wide range of weeds. Strongly retained by plants, this compound can be detected years after application and far from its original site making this a compound of interest for many reasons.
